The Great American Abomination

This last weekend, America endured its 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. In its dishonor, Donald Trump threw a party — and it was little more than an exercise in misery and degradation. What should have been a joyous and proud celebration of diversity, a coming together of all Americans, the happy culmination of a year of civic and history lessons enshrining the true greatness and acknowledging the hard problems still remaining, was hijacked by Trump and his minions for a political rally. What we got was a cheap knock-off of a festival, with absolutely no shame as the Grifter in Chief paraded his latest bribe of a jumbo jet and acknowledging he made $2.2 BILLION last year.

Cadet Bone Spurs presiding over this occasion was an absolute insult to all Americans, most especially anyone who ever sacrificed anything for this country. What kind of glorious party was it? Instead of a bold parade of democracy, masked white supremacists marched on Washington to the Trump rally that replaced the concert which was cancelled after the entertainers backed out. There they found a nearly empty display, worse than many county fairs, with only one ride. The vast reflecting pool was fenced off, a stinking swamp that could not have been more symbolic of the immense corruption and hypocrisy of the Trump regime if it were designed that way.

And to add the final touch, even the weather was awful. Heat suffocated most of the country — many parades, including those for Philadelphia and Washington had to be cancelled. The Great American State Fair had to be closed for a time. But the President refused to cancel or delay his speech, even for the safety of the crowd. So it did not appear to this observer, at any rate, that God was celebrating with the fireworks along with the lightning there in DC.

It was perhaps a sign, a final warning. The storm is almost upon us. The people who run this country have had plenty of chances to remove the threat of Orange Julius Caesar and have failed to do so each and every time. Therefore, this sordid play will go on until the curtain finally falls. We have been warned and have only brought it down upon ourselves.

For as long as possible, TRUMP OF DOOM will be here to chronicle, illuminate, and comment on the End Times, for grim amusement and for insight as we watch. May God have mercy on us all.
