This is exactly the sort of grandiose absolute assertions, as several worried commentators noted, that Hitler, Napoleon, and Caesar claimed. His megalomania is fully out in the open now.
UPDATE — That didn’t take long. The president just signed an executive order saying that only the president or the attorney general can speak for what the law is in the US. This is so blatantly unconstitutional that, as many are warning, it must be designed to provoke unrest so martial law can be declared. It’s doubtful even his puppets on the Supreme Court will be able to swallow this, but in these times, who knows?
